真是巧

今晚学习统计热力学时,在习题上看到这样一段话:

"A theory is the more impressive the greater the simplicity of its premises, the more different kinds of things it relates, and the more extended its area of applicability. Therefore the deep impression that classical thermodynamics made upon me. It is the only physical theory of universal content which I am convinced will never be overthrown, within the framework of applicability of its basic concepts. (A. Einstein, 1920)"

这一读,发现这段话的中译版前几天刚看过,想起来是在物理化学的课件上:

“一种理论的前提的简单性越大,它所涉及的事物的种类越多,它的应用范围越广,它给人们的印象也就越深。因此,经典热力学对我造成了深刻的印象。我确信,这是在它的基本概念可以应用的范围内决不会被推翻的唯一具有普遍内容的物理理论。(A. 爱因斯坦)”
